Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 team Rajasthan Royals (RR) received a massive boost when their lead strike bowler Jofra Archer was revealed to have been cleared to start training, as the right-arm fast bowler has been nursing two separate injuries at the same time.

Apart from dealing with a long-time elbow trouble on his right hand, Arthur had suffered a freak injury in January at his home when he was clearing and cleaning his fish tank which she accidentally drop and support a cut in the middle finger of the same hand.

Archer managed the workload that he had with these two injuries during England’s tour of India as he featured in the Test and the T20I series, but was sent home for further scans leading to surgery as England and Rajasthan Royals looked to preserve the star cricketer.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced in a statement,

“He will return to light training this week, working closely with the Sussex and England men’s medical teams. It is hoped that he will be able to up his intensity with his bowling from next week.

“A further update on his elbow injury will be provided once he has returned to bowling to assess the effectiveness of his recent injection. No decision has been made as yet on when Archer is due to return to playing,”

the statement added.

Meanwhile, the IPL 2021 cricket team Rajasthan Royals have revealed that they hope to have the services of Archer at some point in time during the course of the 14th edition of the world’s best T20 cricket tournament. For Rajasthan, the right-arm Barbadian is their lead strike bowler and they obviously would be feeling crippled with the unavailability of Archer from the starting stages of IPL 2021.
