Jonny Bairstow’s powerful six breaks the glass of the fridge off Trent Boult which trends on social media. Bairstow scored an entertaining 43 (22) to get SRH hope.

In the first two matches of SRH, Jonny Bairstow battled in the middle overs. Wriddhiman Saha batted alongside David Warner and the pair did not work out as Saha got dismissed cheaply in both matches. Moreover, SRH ended up on the losing side in both games.

However, in the third match of SRH against MI, Saha was dropped and Bairstow was promoted as an opening pair with Warner. The decision proved to be worthy as the right-hander got his team off to a flying start while chasing 151 in the second innings.

After being cautious in the first two overs, SRH openers opened up to MI pacer and smacked 57 in the powerplay overs.

‘Bairstow’s Power Show’

With Warner as his supporting partner, Bairstow plundered MI bowlers, especially the New Zealand left-arm pacer, Trent Boult and Adam Milne.

In the third over, Jonny smashed him a huge six downtown. Trent Boult bowled a full-length delivery and Bairstow played it with a full face of the bat to put it over the ropes.

Not only did he smash the ball but it ended up breaking the glass of the fridge. The SRH dugout was sitting beside it and they witnessed a terrible noise of breaking glass.

In that over, Bairstow scored 18 on the first four balls and a couple of dots on the last two balls.

Bairstow put on a great show after scoring 43 off 22 balls including three fours and four maximums. Warner joined him in the cause to build 67 runs in the opening stand in 7.2 overs.

Krunal Pandya picked up his wicket when the right-hander tried to play through the fine leg region and lost his balance as a result he threw himself on the stumps and got out.

Although he lost his wicket in the mishap he made sure to put SRH on the driving seat but as their middle order collapsed, the run rate went down below seven.
