Sunrisers Hyderabad cricket team captain David Warner on Friday arrived in Chennai ahead of the 14th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 tournament where he will be leading his side once again.

The senior Australian cricketer, who has been a force to reckon with in the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s camp, will once again be looked upon to lead from the front as he pairs with the destructive English opening batsman Jonny Bairstow at the top for the IPL 2016 minutes.

While Warner entered quarantine upon arrival in Chennai, by which he is following the mandatory regulations set by the IPL governing body, one of the most entertaining cricketers on and off the field also took to social media to make a special request to his fans.

The former Australia vice captain revealed that while he had woken up on Saturday after a very long sleep, he was running short of ideas on how to keep himself and others entertained as well as pass the time that he is supposed to during the quarantine stage.

“I have just woken up after a massive, massive sleep. Arrived yesterday afternoon here in Chennai. Got, I think, six or seven days to get through the quarantine. I need some ideas, please comment below. Give me some ideas. Whether it’s some funny stuff, silly stuff, whatever it is. Please comment below… Netflix shows anything. I need something, please. Thank you,”

the Sunrisers Hyderabad captain said in his video message that he posted on Instagram.

Warner has been sharing plenty of entertaining videos on his Instagram page, particularly those that are inspired by Indian films from both Bollywood as well as down south. He particularly made good use of social media platform Tik-Tok in the year 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic had struck and everyone was locked inside their homes.

One of the batting mainstays for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Warner has more than 5200 runs in the tournament and he has also been one of the very few overseas captains to have lifted the IPL trophy, which he won with SRH in 2016.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will begin their IPL 2021 campaign on April 11 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai when they take on two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders.
