The Australian all-rounder, Daniel Sams joins RCB biosecure bubble on Saturday after recovering from Covid-19. He spent a week in quarantine after getting positive for Covid-19.

Australian all-rounder, Daniel Sams gave two negative results of Covid-19 and joined the biosecure bubble of RCB on Saturday, he gave the negative results more than a week after turning out positive for Covid-19.

The 28-year-old had arrived in India on April 3 with a negative report but turned positive on April 7, during the second Test and was in quarantine since then.

“We are pleased to inform that Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Daniel Sams has joined the RCB bio-bubble on 17th April 2021 with negative reports for COVID-19,”

RCB Tweeted.

“RCB medical team was in constant touch with Sams to ensure his safety and declared him fit to join the team after all the required examinations as part of the BCCI protocols,”

it added.

‘Daniel Sams could replace Dan Christian’

Earlier, Devdutt Padikkal missed out on the first match for RCB due to Covid-19 and Daniel Sams missed the first two matches and now there are chances that he could be picked up in the place of Dan Christian as an all-rounder. He joins the team after 10 days of mandatory quarantine.

According to BCCI safety protocols, it is discussed that any player who will get the virus will stay in quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. Following this reason, Sams missed his two matches and meanwhile, Christian is out of colour. He has scored some runs but Virat Kohli only used him for 3 overs in two matches.

As RCB has won both of the matches, Kohli may go with the same players but adding Sams to the playing 11 might allow RCB to think about adding a proper batsman to their side.
