Tottenham Hotspur News & Current Form: 

Spurs are having a more than decent season so far, while the club’s management want to extend the deal with head coach Antonio Conte, who has already greatly reshaped the team. Tottenham have no such problems as their upcoming opponents: they are on top of the table alongside Manchester City and have already scored 22 goals (3rd best in the league). The Englishman, bolstered by Heung-min Son (5+2 in 14 games), should cause the hosts plenty of problems. However, the losses of important players like Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski are also taking their toll.

Despite the positive result that Conte’s lads have achieved, Spurs’ scoring productivity does not match the top teams’ level. In the last nine games in the main English championship, the Londoners scored more than two goals per game only once – in the encounter with relegation-zone side Leicester City (6-2) in round 8. The situation is not insurmountable, though, given that Manchester United have only scored one goal in their last two matches in all competitions, and that was from penalty. While MU’s defence has certainly declined in recent years (15 conceded goals in nine games is the worst result among the top eight).

Although Tottenham have lost their last three games to the Mancunians, this is the moment when Antonio Conte’s side look advantageous.
