The football season is in full swing in a number of countries, but Germany and England are still enjoying a break. However, the first round matches in both countries are less than a month away. In order to approach them in good form, Bayern and Manchester City will test their power in a friendly match, USA fans will be very happy to watch some quality football.

Both teams emerged winners of their domestic championships at the end of last season, as we recall. Obviously, the upcoming clash is significant for both teams. The fact is that, in a week’s time, each team will be in action for their respective Super Cups. Bayern Munich will compete for the trophy with Domenico Tedesco’s RB Leipzig, while Manchester City face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Parimatchnews will tell you everything you need to know ahead of the upcoming match.

FC Bayern News & Current Form:

Bayern won the Bundesliga for the tenth time in a row. The gold medals went to the German side long before the finish. The goal difference is staggering, 97 goals scored against 37 conceded. A hegemon that few can really match.

Speaking of the Champions League campaign, the Germans failed to make it to the final of the competition. They crashed out in the tournament’s quarter-finals. Even though they scored 31 goals in the segment played, Unai Emery and his tempered submarine ‘torpedoes’ unexpectedly pummeled Nagelsmann’s cruiser. One can speak both of a great Spaniards’ will to win and total bad luck for the Germans.

The big news for the ‘German Machine’ are two. Pole Robert Lewandowski, the top scorer in recent seasons, left the Munich team for Barcelona. They did not agree on the terms of his contract extending.

However, the German side have signed an equally classy striker as a replacement. Senegal’s Sadio Mane joined from Liverpool and the team have high hopes for him. Perhaps Sadio is more instrumental for Julian, Robert as a classic striker simply doesn’t fit his system.

In preparation for the new season, Bayern have played only one friendly game so far, beating MLS club DC United 6-2.

Manchester City News & Current Form:

Manchester City won their second successive English Premier League title last season and now have a total of six EPL titles in the last ten years.

In the Champions League, however, the Citizens failed once again. Guardiola’s charges suffered a semi-final defeat at the hands of Real Madrid CF 4-3 to 3-1. In 12 meetings, the Sky Blues have scored 29 goals. The statistics are impressive, but they still lack something to win the coveted trophy.

It seems that a thunderous City transfer will solve all the problems. Probably one of the most impressive and promising strikers in the world, Erling Haaland, has relocated from Borussia Dortmund. The numbers will definitely be different in the new season.

The losses include the departures of Raheem Sterling, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus. Still they are not really instant starters, so to take reasonable money and reinvest is a nice and proactive move.

The English champions have also made only one start so far, beating Mexico’s America 2-1. Magnificent Kevin de Bruyne netted a double for Manchester City.

What has been said before the match:

Julian Nagelsmann:

“Manchester City have a good coach and a good sporting director. They have done a great job in recent years and are therefore currently one of the best sides in Europe”.

“I want to see us play attacking football once again tomorrow. It’s important that we win the game. We only have two pre-season friendlies, so we need to use them. However, Pep will want to do the same.”

Pep Guardiola:

“I can talk about us. Erling and Julian are here and will have a positive effect on our game. We scored a lot of goals last season; we won the Premier League and got the semi-finals of the Champions League. We were one of the most top scorers in Europe.  They have the quality to score goals and that for us is most important. Lewandowski is difficult to replace, but Julian is a talented manager with plenty of ideas, and he will find the right movements.”

“He is a really, really young manager but with enough experience at RB Leipzig and he is at Bayern, where demands are high. He did really well last season winning the Bundesliga, and the standards at Bayern Munich are so, so high – you have to do more, and more next season.”

explained the City boss.

“Bayern is always a strong team. Not just the titles, the quality of their play. They will find solutions. The heart of the team is still there – Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich. And Sadio Mane is an exceptional player in all senses. De Ligt is a young player, but two really good signings. That’s normal. Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, when they call, the players go. Other clubs have to pay a bit more money. These teams have the charisma and players will go there.”

he further induced the German club’s transfer policy.

FC Bayern v Manchester City Prediction:

There is confidence that the upcoming match will be very productive and action-packed. The super attacking style of both teams speaks for itself, and the different metrics only confirm this. The teams scored more than 250 goals between them across all official competitions last season. The squads have changed since then, but that should not make the performance any less impressive. Nagelsmann was once doing fine without Robert Lewandowski at Leipzig. Now, with a plethora of quality strikers available, including Sadio Mane, he is unlikely to encounter goalscoring difficulties. Josep Guardiola hasn’t known trouble without Haaland either, but with the Norwegian he’ll probably be even better. We believe both sides will score, and quite a lot. Get ready for the show.
