4- Meg Lanning’s titles in the Women’s T20 World Cup as captain set a world record; no other captain, male or female, has accomplished that feat more than twice.

In her playing career, she participated in five Women’s T20 World Cup finals, the joint second-most alongside teammate Ellyse Perry, and only surpassed by wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy (6).

To crown off an incredible tenure as T20I captain, Lanning also guided Australia to a Gold Medal finish at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last year.

Australia won 16 consecutive T20 Internationals (T20Is) under Meg Lanning from 25 March 2014 to 22 August 2015, setting a record until Thailand Women beat the mark from July 2018 to August 2019.

8.62 – Lanning captained Australia to 69 victories in 78 ODI matches, a win-loss ratio that is hardly credible. The only person to lead Australian women in more ODIs (101) was Belinda Clark.
